Summer Selfies: A History

The harsh reality that summer is over is settling in, and I thought now would be an appropriate time to 1. get back to blogging and 2. recap some of my favorite summer outfit choices. So with this recap, we say goodbye to summer and hello to new (blogger) beginnings.

- Shorts + blouse + heels = chic. But not too fun when running up and down subway stairs. Theory shorts; Zara blouse; Steve Madden heels.

- Super comfortable shift dress from Muji that looks chic when thrown with my summer go-tos, Loeffler Randall's Jolie sandals (no longer in production, sadly), and my monogrammed Goyard pouch.

- Oh Whataburger, how I miss you. Posing outside of this Texas favorite on the way to my brother's graduation. Madewell white silk blouse, J. Crew necklace, and skirt from Express (bought in 2008 for my first internship, at a law firm).

- My 4th of July Texas cookout attire (featuring my friend, Catherine). A Theory shirtdress that made a come-back in my closet this year due to gingham and shirtdress trends in full swing.

- A gingham Ralph Lauren button down (borrowed/stolen from my little brother's closet), khaki J. Crew skirt, and brown Theory belt.

- For garden-romping, I go for a striped V-Neck tee and white jean shorts from J. Crew, my trusty ole Louis Vuitton, and Chaco's

- Striped shift dress #2. This one is 2007 Juicy Couture. Avocado green happens to be trending so I dusted it off and threw it on with my Fjallraven backpack and Jolie's.

- And finally, here I am channeling my stylish grandmother in a J. Crew short sleeved blouse and khaki skirt, brown Theory belt, and sandals by Madewell.
